SNJ Today – State officials have announced new funding for the Gloucester County Boys and Girls Club.

On Thursday, November 30th, State Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-NJ), Assembly Deputy Speaker John Burzichelli (D-NJ 1st), and Assemblyman Adam Taliaferro (D-NJ 3rd) announced that the New Jersey Alliance of Boys and Girls Clubs has been awarded $50,000 in state funding from the Department of Community Affairs’ Community Services Block Grant Special Initiatives program.

As part of the award, the Gloucester County Boys and Girls Club will receive more than $3,000 and will determine the amount of money distributed to its local clubs.

The funds will be used to support staff to provide program instruction in five core areas including education and career development for low-income and at-risk youth in the Paulsboro and Glassboro areas.
