Satellite Office for 3rd Legislative District Residents on June 6

South Jersey Times — Senate President Steve Sweeney, Assembly Deputy Speaker John Burzichelli, and Assemblyman Adam Taliaferro encourage Third Legislative District residents to visit the district’s satellite office location at the Bridgeton Public Library, 150 E. Commerce St. on Tuesday, June 6, from 3 to 5 p.m.

“After several years of having a permanent presence in Cumberland County at the Bridgeton Public Library, we renew our commitment and ask residents to take advantage of our services,” said Sweeney. “We welcome our residents to seek assistance through our office in connecting them with a state department or in regards to pending state legislation.”

The satellite office is hosted by experienced constituent services staff members who are available to assist residents with issues such as unemployment claim difficulties, energy assistance programs, notary public application certification, consumer complaints, or any matter with a state agency.

“One of the highlights of hosting our Bridgeton satellite office is to have folks share their concerns about an issue before a state office, or possibly convey their thoughts about legislation,” added Burzichelli. “This consistent satellite location makes our office more accessible to residents of Bridgeton and the surrounding area.”

“We work hard to enhance access and communication with our residents through our mobile offices,” said Taliaferro. “We hope the public will consider stopping by during the scheduled hours for a brief visit to learn more about our office and the services we provide.”

The Bridgeton visit will highlight consumer resources, including information on energy assistance programs. In addition, residents may learn more about the Temporary Relief of Utility Expense (TRUE) and Payment Assistance for Gas and Electric (PAGE) programs. The Third Legislative District is a qualified intake location for applications.

The satellite office will continue at the Bridgeton Public Library on the first Tuesday of each month and will be held again on Aug. 1 and Sept. 5.

For more information on the Third Legislative District and the services provided by the offices, residents are again encouraged to visit or contact the office at 856-455-1011.
